Hall-Spring House, Northfield Massachusetts

Date added: January 08, 2010 Categories: Massachusetts House Gothic Revival

This Mid-nineteenth century house is a rare type in this locality (somewhat more to be seen in Vermont and New Hampshire), and combines Greek-Revival and Gothic-Revival details, with fine doorways and porches.

This house was built for Dr. Philip Hall, and was owned by him until his death about in the 1880's. From his family it passed to Mrs, Nelson Spring; upon her death about 1950 it became the property of her husband. Nelson Spring.
