Minneapolis New Church Society, Minneapolis Minnesota

Date added: May 10, 2010 Categories: Minnesota Church Gothic Revival

Built by ths Minneapolis New Church Society (Swedenborgian) about 1869. Interesting for its frame construction and well designed wood ornament.

About 1900 it was taken over and used by a colored congregation. About 1915 it was again used by the New Church Society.

Heating plant and chancel alterations made in 1917.

This structure well records the wooden era that prevailed in this timbered country up to 1900.
