The Bennington Falls Covered Bridge, the longest covered bridge in Bennington County, was constructed by Charles F. Sears in 1889. Sears belonged to a locally prominent family of bridge builders; his father, Benjamin, probably built another of the three surviving covered bridges in Bennington township. Together the three bridges, which cross the same river within two miles of one another, constitute an important resource of transport and engineering history in an area which possesses outstanding examples of other types of historic resources. The covered bridges of Vermont are among its most cherished and symbolic historic resources. Erected in 1927-1928, the F. W. Woolworth Building at 3120-3122 Troost Avenue was one of three secondary suburban Woolworth stores established in Kansas City, Missouri in the 1920s, a period when no other dime store chain had more than one store in Kansas City. The main and largest store, purchased in an acquisition of the S. H. Knox and Company five-and-ten-cent store in 1911, was at 1105-1111 Main Street in Kansas City's downtown central business district. On May 4^th, 1926, The Kansas City Post reported the construction of the first suburban building for the Woolworth chain store company at 3923 Main Street. Erected after an analysis of pedestrian traffic, this outlet faced the city's main commercial corridor in its fastest-growing ward.

Tennessee in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries had dozens of covered bridges. During the early years of the 20^th century, these structures began to vanish until now there are only five known bridges of this type in the state. Four of these span rivers and creeks east of the Tennessee River. Only one, the Parks Covered Bridge, has been found in West Tennessee. It is believed to be the only known king post truss covered bridge in the state. W.E. Parks built the bridge in 1922 to connect two of his fields. Seven Oaks School at 3711 Jackson Avenue is an excellent example of an Early Twentieth Century/Progressive Era Elementary School. It has many of the interior elements that were designed to improve safety, cleanliness, illumination, and ventilation, issues central to the Progressive Movement. Multi-light wood doors line the wide double-loaded corridor on each floor. The corridor doors access classrooms and adjacent narrow coat rooms at the perimeter of the building. The central core of the school contains the gymnasium, auditorium, and playroom (now cafeteria). Large windows pierce the perimeter walls to provide the classrooms with abundant light and ventilation. The Christian Church Hospital, established and managed by the National Disciples of Christ Church, is a rare surviving example of the private hospital buildings constructed before World War I in Kansas City. In the early twentieth century, different religious and ethnic groups established hospitals and related medical training facilities for the use of their members. It is unique among the private hospitals erected at this time in that there was a stipulation in its bylaws that it be open to members of all religious denominations. Pomeroy Academia Covered Bridge, at 278'4 feet, is the longest remaining covered bridge in Pennsylvania. Built in 1902 by James N. Groninger, the Bridge is a double span Burr Arch design. Each span measures 135 feet, the width of the road surface is 15' 6. The bridge has vertical siding, open windows at the eave level. Abutments are cut stone. Roof is gable with standing seam metal roofing. The bridge is owned and maintained by Juniata County Historical Society. In 2009, the Historical Society completed an eight year restoration project. Olive Branch High School was born from the necessity to replace the 1873 Olive Branch School building. By 1900, the building was overcrowded with nearly 100 students, worn and in need of much repair. Although some of the State Inspector's mandated repairs were made that year, the township Board of Education began discussion of constructing a new school building. It took six years before a majority of the Board was in agreement to replace the old building and in May they voted to begin construction in 1907. The Pisgah Community Covered Bridge was built around 1910 by J. J. Welch, who constructed several covered bridges in the area. Normally the building of these bridges was authorized by the county commissioners. Upon the satisfactory completion of a bridge, the commissioners paid for materials and labor. Available records, however, do not show county participation in the building of Pisgah Bridge. The bridge is forty feet long and is said to have cost $40 to build. Its modest proportions indicate it may have been built privately. The President Hotel, located in Mount Vernon in Skagit County, Washington, is prominently situated on the city's main business thoroughfare, First Street, and, at five stories, has the distinction of being the tallest building in downtown Mount Vernon. Bunker Hill Bridge was originally built over Lyle's Creek as an open span in 1895. In October of the preceding year, the Catawba County Commissioners had brought action against the owners of Bunker Hill farm for failure to build and maintain a bridge on the old Island Ford Road. Mary Lee Smith and the other owners erected the footings of the bridge the following spring with stone from a nearby quarry. Between 1904 and 1907, three two-room frame school buildings were constructed on the southeast corner of East 43^rd Street and Tracy Avenue. A fourth building was moved to the site from East 39^th Street and Warwick Boulevard in August of 1908 to accommodate increased student enrollment. Less than one year later, however, a building permit was issued to build a new two-story, 100' x 86' Bancroft Schoolhouse of brick and stone with a concrete roof. The new building opened in April 1910, educating 406 neighborhood students in nine classrooms. A second permit was issued in 1913 to build an additional 85' x 72' brick and reinforced concrete structure. This section completed the symmetrical main block and contained 18 additional classrooms.
