Architect Edward G. Garden

Edward G. Garden (1871-2/2/1924) San Francisco, California (A.I.A.)

Born and educated in Toronto, Canada, Mr. Garden arrived in the US in the early 1890s to settle at St. Louis, Missouri, and probably acquired or completed architectural training in that city. After serving for a time as a draftsman in the office of Maruan & Russell, he was taken into the firm in 1898, and during the few years he continued that association designed the Second Baptist Church in St. Louis.

Shortly after the turn of the century, Mr. Garden moved to San Francisco, and maintained an office in the Phelan Building for twenty years. In 1922 he left for Cleveland where his death subsequently occurred.
