Isaac P. White House, Newport Rhode Island
Date added:September 21, 2010

VIEW OF WEST FRONT

The Reverend Isaac P. White was Rector of Trinity Church. He probably began building this house soon after buying the property in 1871. The 1871-72 Newport Directory showed him living on Touro Street, and the next directory showed him at this, address. White died shortly after moving in, and his widow moved to 23 Second Street.

This house is a typical example of the "Stick Style" or "Chalet Style" of the 1870s.
