Architect James Price
James Price (1860-1935) Grand Rapids Michigan
Born in Great Britain, and trained for a professional career, Mr. Price migrated to Canada in 1881, later entered the United States. After working for a time in Chicago, he moved to Holland, Michigan, then to Grand Rapids, where he started practice and carried on work for a number of years.
Mr. Price was known as the architect of commercial buildings in a number of mid-western cities, and in Grand Rapids designed several public schools and churches, among the latter, the Syrian Greek Church, built in 1930, and one of his best known buildings.
