Gordon W. Lloyd (unknown-1/16/1905) Detroit Michigan (A.I.A.)

Dean of Michigan architects at the time of his death, his is known to have planned several noteworthy churches in Detroit, one of which was the Central Methodist at Woodward Avenue and Adams Street, of modified Gothic design, erected in 1867. Also ascribed to him is Trinity Church at Columbus, Ohio, dating from 1866.

Among Lloyd's later works in Detroit was the David Whitney house, a pretentious three-story mansion at 4421 Woodward Avenue built in 1893, which was later occupied by the Wayne County Medical Society.
