George M. Anderson (1869-10/4/1916) Cincinnati, Ohio (A.I.A.)
A life-long resident of Cincinnati, he attended the city public schools in his youth, later received a professional education at the Department of Architecture, Columbia University and the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, France. After returning to Cincinnati, Mr. Anderson was employed for a few years as draftsman in the office of Samuel Hannaford & Sons, one of the leading firms in the city, and on leaving there, joined Alfred C. Elzner in a partnership. He continued practice under the firm name of Elzner & Anderson, and until the time of his own death, was connected with the design of a number of the city's early buildings, notably the Avondale PPresbyterian Church, and the Ingalls Building, also the Children's Hospital.
