The land on which the house stood before it was moved to Richmond, was granted to Richard Perrin in 1672. Some of this land had been formerly granted to Captain Matthew Edloe on October 2, 1656, and by him assigned to Richard Perrin. The brick mansion at Wilton was built by William Randolph III (died 1761), a younger son of William Randolph II (1681-1742), of Turkey Island. Upon his death it was inherited by his son, Peyton Randolph, who married Lucy Harrison, daughter of Benjamin Harrison, Signer of the Declaration of Independence. The Lodi Southern Pacific Passenger Depot (SP), completed in 1907, was an asset to its city and the city's Railroad Reservation throughout the early half of the twentieth century. Lodi originated as a railroad proprietary town, and the Railroad Reservation was Lodi' s center from its inception in 1869 until the early 1950s, when the city's focal point became the new civic center located west of the reservation. Constant on the reservation property through its prosperous years were passenger and freight depots, sheds (for lumber and/or fruit), and park areas. Ground was broken for the Crystal Ice & Storage Co. Office & Theatre Building on March 21, 1927. By July, the reinforced concrete frame was in forms up through the third floor. Thereafter progress on the theatre was faster-paced, although minor obstacles, such as delays in the shipment of balcony steel from Poole & McGarry's plant, occurred. Cross-bracing trusses were found to be a foot too long, notwithstanding delays, the theatre received its brick and terra cotta facing in September and was completely ready in time for its gala New Year's Eve grand opening. George Warren Weatherly, for whom the theatre was built, was born near Portland in 1868. Following a Portland public school education, he worked in the building trades.

The St. Louis and San Francisco Railway (Frisco) began as the Pacific Railroad incorporated in Missouri in 1849. In 1876 this line was purchased by W. F. Buckley acting for the recently incorporated St. Louis and San Francisco Railway. The Frisco's entry into Mississippi came in 1901 when it acquired the lines of the Kansas City, Memphis and Birmingham, a railroad connecting these three cities. In 1925 the Frisco gained control of the Muscle Shoals, Birmingham and Pensacola Railway, which extended north from Pensacola to Kimbrough, Alabama, By June 1928 the line from Pensacola had been joined to existing Frisco lines by a new section of track following the Torabigbee River Valley. This house was probably built by Johannes Westbrook, who settled in the Minisink area in 1700 on the basis of the Ulster Cotmty, N.Y., voting records which indicate that he resided and voted in Minisink in 1701. Exactly when he built the house is unclear, but the village of Minisink was surveyed in 1725, and the area appears to have been quite stable by 1730. The Indian deed, then, is probably an effort to legalize ownership well after the land was settled, perhaps as an attempt to foil claims of N.J. Proprietors. William Ennes (b. 1711) was one of the first school teachers in Sussex Couty when he came to the Minisink area in 1738. This house is built on land formerly owned by Richard Gardner, one of the proprieters. The land was bought from Gardner by William Ennes in 1753. Ennes was the son of a Scotchman who settled in Ulser County, New York. He came to the Delaware Valley in 1738 and was prominent as the school teacher of the Minisink region. It is assumed that he built the house. On a stone between the two windows on the east side appears the date 7-3-1751 which is accepted as the date of erection; however, the farm was not in the possession

The Everitt House, said to have been built before 1750, is one of three houses in the Minisink Village area that dates from the eighteenth century. While the basic stone structure is original, the many alterations have included wall dormers, a red tile roof, and two picture windows in the south gable end. The one-and-a-half-story house is laid out in an L shape. The front portion measures approximately 45' by 30' and the rear addition measures approximately 21' by 30'.
