Constructed in 1926, the Hibiscus Garden Apartments, was probably the first apartment building built in Spanish Colonial style in West Palm Beach. It continued to function as an apartment building until it burned to the ground on May 1^st, 1989. In 1939, State Senator John R. Beacham purchased the property and resided there until his death in 1950. While there, Senator Beacham entertained many political and social celebrities, probably the most famous being President Franklin D. Roosevelt. On August 10^th, 1915, the City of West Palm Beach released Block #70 of the Highland Park Addition to the Highland Park Land Company, a land brokerage firm. Harder Hall is one of the finer hotels constructed in Sebring and South Central Florida prior to 1930 during the Florida Land Boom Era of the 1920s. It was designed by prominent Florida architect, William Manley King in the Spanish Colonial Revival style. In May, 1925, a Sebring newspaper reported that a major hotel and resort community development, financed by the Biltmore interests, was planned for Sebring. Under the name of Lakewood Terrace, a development company headed by Vincent Hall of West Palm Beach began construction of a 1.5 million dollar facility on the western shore of Lake Jackson. The Kingsbury Covered Bridge marks the end of the historic period of covered wood bridge construction on public highways in Vermont, which began about 1820. The bridge was built in 1904; only one other bridge of that type and purpose, the Larkin Bridge in Tunbridge (1902), is known to have been built after the beginning of the twentieth century (excluding a modern revival of the type built in Woodstock in 1969). The lower cost of wood construction compared with that of iron or steel probably accounted for its extraordinarily late use in the Kingsbury bridge, which carries only a lightly traveled rural road. The Ralston Freeman Covered bridge was built in 1915. It is a Kingpost truss bridge with vertical siding and a gable roof. It is very short, only 28 feet long spanning the Aunt Clara's Fork of King's Creek. It's roadbed is 12 feet wide. The bridge is located on private property.

The two Omaha line depots in Luverne, the original 1876 freight depot and the 1913 combination depot, are focal points in the important rail network of Rock County. They are the only depot buildings in the county that remain in their original track-side locations. The 1913 combination depot is the only functioning depot in the county. The Worthington and Sioux Falls Railway Company, a branch of the Sioux City and St. Paul, extended its line into Rock County in 1876, and was the first railroad in the county. The date of the construction of the house, and its builder, are subjects still under research. Architectural details point to construction in the 1830s and such details compare closely with other houses in the area known to have been built in that era. If built in the 1830s it was probably built by Benjamin Hammock, who owned the property at that time and is known to have been the builder for the first Walton County Courthouse. Since Hammock's ownership, this property has been owned by several of Walton County's prominent citizens, and now is anticipated for use as a museum. Hammock sold this property in 1845 to Joszah Clark, builder of several railroad supper hotels in Social Circle and Stone Mountain.

Casulon is an excellent example of an antebellum plantation complete with many original outbuildings intact. Owned by only two families throughout its existence, the house and surrounding 10,000 acres were bought by the Armstrong Cork Company in 1968 for use in an extensive forestry program. The company donated the house and 15 acres to the Morgan County Historical Society in order to preserve the remnants of the old plantation. Casulon was built by Joseph Moss, a pioneer Walton County citizen who acquired the land lot on which the house sits in 1821. The house appears on tax records in 1825. The Phoenix Hotel, built circa 1890, is significant for its historic-associations with the growth of Waycross, as well as the railroad industry in Southeast Georgia. During the latter part of the nineteenth century, the expanding railroad industry increased the need for hostelry services in Waycross. To help these needs, the Phoenix Hotel was constructed. Like much of the area, the railroad industry had a direct influence on the history of the Phoenix Hotel. Prater's Mill, which dates to c. 1859, includes the only remaining grist mill in Whitfield County, out of twenty-seven that once thrived there. Ironically, Prater's Mill was probably the first and certainly one of the most prosperous, being in its day what Dr. Gregory Jeane, author of a study of the mills of northwest Georgia, calls an integrated mill complex. This he defines as a grist and flour mill offering other services located on the premises such as blacksmithing, cotton ginning, sawmilling, a general store, and post office. The architectural style of this antebellum mill complex, together with the 1915 house site, is an excellent example of a form of industrial architecture that has largely disappeared. The Columbia Southern Railroad Passenger Station and Freight Warehouse located at the corner of Clark and Fulton streets at the heart of Wasco, a trading center for surrounding wheat ranches of Sherman County, Oregon was completed and opened for use in 1898. Completion of a transcontinental railroad along the Columbia River in the 1880s provided ranchers with access to national markets. Reaching rails along the Columbia, however, still required stock drives or wagon treks from the uplands of the interior. Root Bridge was built in 1878 by Rolla (not Rollin) Merydith (not Meredith) for $6.50 per linear foot for yellow poplar trusses. Stonework by David Gill for $2.50 per perch. The bridge is now bypassed. The Root Bridge takes its name from the small community of Root Town which no longer exists. There was once a post office, general store and grist and saw mill there. The American Grain Complex is a group of buildings that collectively house the functions involved in the transshipment of grain: offloading, weighing, storage, analysis, processing, production into a retail product and reloading for shipment to distant markets. The Buffalo Electric Vehicle Company was associated with 1219 Main Street during the entire time that the company manufactured automobiles. This was, however, a period of only four years from 1912 to 1916. The first mention of the Buffalo Electric Vehicle Company is in the 1912 City directory at 1219 Main Street and by 1913 the listing is expanded to include 1221. Ac. 1914 photograph shows the two southernmost showrooms (1219 and 1221) identified as Buffalo Electric Vehicle as well as a sign below the fourth-floor windows, extending the width of the five central bays, saying Buffalo Electric Vehicle Company. Pecan farming was introduced in southwest Georgia in the 1880s, and by 1905, several thousand trees were in cultivation there. Georgia quickly became the leading producer of pecans in the country, with much of the business centered around the Albany area. By the 1920s, with the decline of cotton production caused by the boll weevil, pecans had become the area's leading cash crop. Early in the 1900s, growers began to band together in mutual interest and marketing organizations. The building had the most substantial concrete framing in Albany up to that time.
